Retaining Wall Contractor for Little Rock Hillside & Erosion Control

Retaining Wall Installation for Drainage & Erosion Control in Cabot, Arkansas

Soil conditions in Little Rock, North Little Rock, Maumelle, and Sherwood are often made up of rocky terrain, shale, and mixed granular soils, especially in hillside and elevated areas. These conditions provide better natural drainage than farmland clay soils but introduce challenges with slope stability, excavation, and anchoring. Because of this, retaining wall construction in these areas requires a different approach focused on cutting into slopes, establishing a stable foundation on uneven or rocky ground, and properly anchoring the wall system to handle elevation changes. While drainage is still important, the primary challenge is managing terrain and ensuring long-term structural stability on hillsides. Unlike construction in Cabot and surrounding farmland areas where clay soil expansion and water pressure are the main concerns, Little Rock-area projects must be engineered to handle slope, rock conditions, and elevation from the start.
We specialize in building properly engineered retaining walls designed to handle Arkansas clay soil and heavy rainfall. We don’t just build walls; we solve drainage issues, prevent erosion, and create long-lasting structural solutions for your property.
Many retaining walls in Central Arkansas fail due to poor drainage, improper base preparation, and pressure from expanding clay soil. Without proper design and installation, water buildup behind the wall can cause shifting, cracking, or complete failure. Our process ensures every retaining wall includes proper drainage systems and structural support to prevent failure and handle long-term soil pressure.
Our retaining walls over 5 feet in height are engineered for structural integrity and backed by a 10-year limited warranty, giving you peace of mind. We are a fully licensed, bonded, and insured, veteran-owned company with over 10 years of experience.
We proudly serve homeowners with these soil conditions in the Little Rock, North Little Rock, Sherwood, Maumelle and surrounding Central Arkansas areas.

Previous Projects

Retaining Wall Installation in North Little Rock, AR | Erosion & Drainage Solution
This hillside sloped directly into the home’s back patio, causing severe erosion and drainage issues. Soil from the hillside would wash down and accumulate near the porch, creating a consistently muddy and wet backyard. Our team regraded the area by cutting back approximately 2 feet of the slope and installing a 4 foot tall retaining wall with integrated steps leading to the upper yard, allowing for future patio expansion. This project not only corrected the erosion and drainage issues but also transformed the space into a functional and visually appealing backyard with long-term stability.
Retaining Wall Installation in North Little Rock, AR | Fixing Erosion and Turf Issues
This 80-foot-long retaining wall project in North Little Rock, AR was designed to correct severe erosion problems caused by the steep slope of the front yard. Heavy rainfall and water runoff were washing away soil and damaging the turf area surrounding the home.
Our team installed a retaining wall system ranging from 1 foot to 4 feet in height to stabilize the slope and prevent future soil erosion. Approximately 30 cubic yards of structural fill material were brought in to raise and regrade the low side of the property by nearly 4 feet, creating a more balanced and usable front yard.
The project also included the installation of a custom step entry from the sidewalk to allow future walkway access to the front porch while improving the overall appearance and functionality of the property.
Once grading and drainage corrections were completed, the yard was prepared and hydroseeded for new grass growth to restore the landscape and prevent future washout issues.
Retaining Wall Installation in Maumelle, AR | Backyard Leveling & Drainage Solutions
This backyard was built on a full slope, leading to severe drainage issues and ongoing erosion problems. Our team excavated the high side by approximately 3 feet and redistributed the material to raise the low side by 2 feet, creating a balanced grade across the yard. The final result included a 130-foot retaining wall with integrated step access, transforming the sloped yard into a fully level, usable outdoor space. The project also included a complete drainage system, river rock landscaping, a new sprinkler system, and fresh sod installation to restore and enhance the property.
